Just under a year and a half after opening, Bades Huk’s Beach Apartments have now been awarded the highest five-star rating according to the criteria of the German Tourism Association (DTV). “We are very pleased about this special recognition. It’s a tourism award that fills both us and the region with pride, because the unique natural surroundings of the Baltic Sea are the source of inspiration for every Beach Apartment,” emphasizes Hamid M. Farahmand, the operator of the vacation resort. “The theme of nature is becoming increasingly important. Especially in times when tourists are seeking a place of retreat, this theme also plays an important role in architecture and interior design. By combining nature-oriented living with a wide range of recreational activities, we aim to offer our guests a new form of luxury—with the highest level of comfort and personalized service.”
“The architecture and furnishings of the 77 modern beach apartments follow a high-end design concept,” explains Silva Eddicks, Creative Director at Clavis International. “We based the design and interior on the unique characteristics of the surroundings.” Sweeping views of the surrounding coastal landscape, a maritime yet sleek aesthetic wherever you look, and the highest level of comfort make each beach apartment a unique vacation home. A modern fitness and wellness area with sauna facilities, along with parking spaces and free Wi-Fi, round out the stay into a perfect all-around package. Just a few meters away are the marina, beach, golf course, outdoor playground, and dining options. “The resort is a great place for couples and families with older children. Dogs and their owners are also welcome here,” enthuses Doris Baum, who led the evaluation for the DTV. “My first impression of the Bades Huk vacation resort was, ‘Wow, what a beautiful, unique location! The Scandinavian-style complex blends in well with its surroundings. In addition to the light Scandinavian color palette, the comfort of the kitchen area and the spaciousness of the living areas really stand out.” But her eye for detail also brought a smile to Doris Baum’s face: “I find the bottle coolers with built-in sound systems very stylish and fun.” The extra amenities for dogs as guests also earned high marks from her. “Being a host means staying in tune with your guests and keeping up with the times—and they seem to be doing a great job of that here,” she emphasizes.
Jan van Leeuwen, mayor of the municipality of Hohenkirchen, also offered his congratulations: “High-quality tourism is an important economic factor for the region. We are delighted that the diversity of nature, the restful tranquility, and the natural charm of the Baltic Sea coast are fully showcased in this high-quality accommodation and that this has now been recognized with the top rating of the coveted seal of quality.” The Northwest Mecklenburg region is a major draw for many tourists, primarily due to its distinctive landscapes, coastlines, and nature reserves. Sustainably expanding and developing the cultural landscape is a key priority for the region.
The DTV classification is a voluntary quality control program for rental property owners. The accommodation standards and services offered by vacation rentals are objectively assessed using a comprehensive set of criteria. This provides guests with reliable information about the quality of the amenities and guidance in selecting and booking accommodations. The classification is valid for three years, after which a reassessment takes place.
