Bades Huk is a place to slow down. This is reflected time and again in the resort's concept, and its location in the heart of a nature and bird sanctuary also contributes to this atmosphere.
Now that it’s fall, walks around the Huk are especially beautiful; they offer peace and quiet and let you recharge—making them the perfect way to truly unwind. If you want to get up close to the water, head to the marina’s pier and walk all the way to the end. From there, you’ll feel as if you’re standing right in the middle of the Baltic Sea, with a direct view of the last brave sailors who refuse to let even cooler temperatures deter them from their passion. There’s also a small Italian restaurant on the pier; on the terrace, you can soak up the last rays of sunshine, warm up with a cup of coffee or tea, and enjoy the view of the sea.
If you head north from the pier, the beach stretches along the coast. After a few hundred meters, the beach becomes increasingly natural, and small coves delight walkers. This natural beauty is one-of-a-kind, and there’s always something new to discover along the narrow paths. No matter where you look, the many distinctive colors of autumn make every leaf and every tree seem unique. You completely lose track of time—and when you glance back, the marina suddenly appears only as a tiny speck in the distance. Those who prefer a long walk can stroll along the 8-kilometer stretch of beach around Huk. Alternatively, you can turn back, since a hot cup of coffee or a fragrant plate of pasta is waiting for you at the marina to warm you up.
The sunrise over Poel Island is especially beautiful! That unique stillness in the morning—all you can hear is the sound of the sea, the sand crunching under your shoes, and the occasional caw of a seagull. It’s definitely worth getting up early!
