Hamid M. Farahmand, real estate expert and managing partner of Clavis International
Mr. Farahmand, through your company, Clavis International, you have developed the resort over the past few years and will now begin operations there starting in June. What appeals to you about this?
Hamid M. Farahmand: “From the very beginning, we’ve done everything we can to offer vacation home owners and travelers a place where they can experience a special kind of relaxation—far removed from everything they already know or are used to. In Bades Huk, quality of life and nature, open space and privacy, personal fulfillment, and comprehensive service come together under the umbrella of sustainable tourism. This is still unique in Germany. I’m excited to bring this special concept to life.”
Sustainable Tourism—What Role Does Nature Play in Bades Huk’s Concept?
Hamid M. Farahmand: “A very crucial one. After all, we’re right in the middle of a nature reserve. Trends in the tourism sector show that sustainable travel is on the rise. For 75 percent of Germans, treating the local culture with respect is particularly important when traveling sustainably.* But for us, sustainable tourism means even more than that. We’d love to share the natural wonders of this region with our guests. For example, there’s a nature discovery center where you can learn valuable information about the bird and plant diversity on the peninsula. The center’s program is complemented by guided tours through the nature reserve. Nature and biodiversity are everywhere in Bades Huk. From the rooftop terrace, for example, you can see the salt marshes, the dunes, the sea, and the golf course, which is surrounded by water on three sides. If you’re looking for peace and nature, this is the perfect place for you.”

Vacation apartments or homes with full-service amenities are already well-known abroad. With its resort concept, Bades Huk is a pioneer in Germany. What makes it special? What’s new about it?
Hamid M. Farahmand: “This can be summed up in one sentence: We focus more on the needs of vacationers. Currently, the main priorities are saving time and ensuring safety in every aspect. This way, guests can enjoy a wide range of wellness and leisure activities in the private atmosphere of a vacation apartment, while also benefiting from various services, such as the front desk and housekeeping. We offer relaxation in a special setting, but at the same time, for those who wish it, our resort concept ensures a holistic experience. For example, a small, lovingly designed shop offers regional specialties, such as delicacies and souvenirs from nearby businesses. Arrive, enjoy, and not have to worry about a thing—that’s our idea of relaxation.”
