On May 3, the beach season officially kicked off along the Mecklenburg Baltic Sea coast—and Hohen Wieschendorf took part for the first time! Under the motto “On the paddle—ready—go!” the beach at Bades Huk became the setting for a creative beach adventure for young and old alike—as did 13 other towns along the beautiful Baltic Sea coast of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
Under bright sunshine, seven diverse teams made up of children, teens, and adults competed to create the most beautiful sand structures. With plenty of imagination, team spirit, and enthusiasm, they created artistic figures, fairy-tale castles, and imaginative sculptures that amazed numerous visitors. In the end, not only were there beaming faces, but also attractive prizes awaiting the creative builders.
With this event, Hohen Wieschendorf made a striking statement to kick off the warm season—and demonstrated once again just how diverse and family-friendly the Baltic Sea coast can be. It was an all-around successful day at the beach that left everyone wanting more!
