Even the drive to Bades Huk is breathtaking: Almost unexpectedly, the Baltic Sea suddenly comes into view, sparkling before you. The view captivates every visitor so completely that you can’t help but want to explore the pier and the beach right away. But first, you check in at the Bades Huk reception desk. Birgit and Robert are there to welcome guests and answer any questions about the location.
Next, it’s time to explore the apartment—where curiosity is just as strong. Once the suitcases are unpacked and everything is put away, it’s time to settle in and relax: the best way to do that is to enjoy the 180-degree view of the surrounding area from the rooftop terrace with a cup of coffee.
Next, take a short walk to explore the grounds and the surrounding area—after all, everything is just a few steps away. First and foremost, you’ll be drawn straight to the water. On the way to the marina, you’re surrounded by nothing but nature—the green salt marshes where bees buzz about, and colorful splashes of wildflowers everywhere. When the weather is nice, you can see the entire Baltic Sea from the beach and the pier: Alongside green meadows and fields, the first thing you see in the distance is the Hanseatic city of Wismar. As you let your gaze wander further, you’ll spot the island of Poel—and, particularly striking at the island’s tip, the lighthouse in Timmendorf—before the vast expanse of the Baltic Sea comes into view. Even at this point, you can’t help but capture the moment in photos. If you walk a short distance along the beach, a small path opens up, surrounded by green bushes and trees, leading back toward the vacation resort. Once you arrive at the resort, you’ll spot the sauna and fitness building and start mentally planning a relaxing sauna session or a little break on one of the lounge chairs overlooking the dune landscape.
Back at the apartment, we look through the first vacation photos and send them to our loved ones back home as a little “We’ve arrived safely” greeting. And what’s next? Off to the beach chair for a relaxing day at the beach, a trip to Boltenhagen, or perhaps something more active, like yoga, fitness, golf, or a bike ride? You couldn’t plan the next day any more relaxed than this.
In the evening, the group wraps up the day at the Italian restaurant in the marina with a delicious pasta dish and a glass of red wine, reminiscing about their adventures together. Back at the apartment, everyone collapses, exhausted, into the cozy box-spring beds and dreams of the exciting days ahead in Bades Huk.
