There aren’t many golf courses with a location like the one in Hohen Wieschendorf: on a peninsula jutting out into the Baltic Sea, surrounded by nature and a distinctive sense of tranquility. After a hiatus due to modernization, the golf course has been open for play again since August 1, 2021—initially the first 9 holes, and then all 18 again later this year.
In a small gathering, the golf course was officially opened with Hamid M. Farahmand teeing off the “Golden Ball.” During the inaugural tournament, the participating golfers had the opportunity to test the new greens, giving them a chance not only to claim their first tournament victory but also to set a new course record.
The winner was Mr. Peter Bischof of the GC Leipzig-Seehausen, who not only won the tournament but also set a new course record of 45 strokes and can look forward to a place of honor in the future clubhouse.

At the driving range, alongside the tournament, coach Max Schmidt worked to attract potential new golf fans through a golf introduction session and taught them the basics of a successful tee shot.
After the first day of golf, one thing is certain: The golf course was a complete success, thanks to its new greens, stunning surroundings, and overall condition, and it has us even more excited for the next 9 holes.
